Attn: Mr. Brian Boulter – Chief Engineer

Dear Brian:

I would like to express our appreciation for the outstanding work that you completed for us, identifying and solving the tension dip problem on our Z-23 reversing mill. As you know the z-mill upgrade did not go as smoothly as all had hoped, and we were expecting more of the same when this problem appeared with the softer stainless grades. We were pleasantly surprised when, after the RA Field Service Engineeer put the changes you recommended into the mill controls, the mill ran with only the occasional crash. Most of which were due to defects in the stainless stock.

I have asked J.S. to keep you informed of the mills performance. I have also been given approval to request your sevices in future, should other control problems occur with the Z-23 or any of our other precision rolling mills.

I have sent a copy of this letter to (PROPRIETARY) and asked them to request a quote from ApICS LLC for any gauge control issues with the (PROPRIETARY) upgrade.

Sincerely,
Ken Shankwiler
Director of Engineering

P.J
